H. Froebel and Son, Inc. has been in business over 70 years. I have been working in the business for 34 years. The business was started in the 1920's in an alley garage at 2467 N. 2nd Street and slowly grew from there to our present location.

We have a good record of getting the job done right the first time. On those rare occasions where there is a problem we take care of it.

We care more that the job be done right, then whether we get the job. There are many instances where we will recommend no work be done at all because it might not last long enough to justify the expense. For instance, sometimes a customer will request that we tuckpoint their chimney, when what is really needed is a chimney rebuilding. Since the tuckpointing would only last 1-2 years we would recommend not doing the tuckpointing, and using the 2 years to save the money necessary to rebuild the chimney. Remember, deterioration of masonry, in most circumstances, is a slow process. Just because you see it today, does not mean it will fall down tomorrow.

We always try to look at what is needed or required from the customer's point of view. On larger jobs, we can set up budgets and coordinate contractors over a 3-5 year period.

Although in years past we did larger commercial and general construction, today we tend to do more repair and maintenance work for factories, schools, churches, offices and the residential market. Our opinions and estimates have also been used in court proceedings.
